Reminder: Help ensure no child is without a present at Christmas

This year a group of staff are supporting the Christmas Complete 2017 project, run by 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏, City and Region Action to Combat Hardship (S.C.R.A.T.C.H.), by making it accessible and convenient for staff and students to drop off their donations at the University.

The Christmas Complete project operates each year and is a way of ensuring that local children and young people can all enjoy Christmas.

This project could not help all the families that are referred to them without the very generous donations from individuals, local schools, churches and businesses.

Donations of toys and gifts suitable for babies, children and young people up to the age of 17 years are needed by Friday 8 December 2017.

The sorts of things the project needs are:

  • Age relevant toys
  • Games and puzzles
  • Books
  • Sweets
  • Colouring pencils, felt tip pens, colouring books, art and crafts etc.
  • Toiletries and other items suitable for teenagers (there is always a shortage of items for teenagers)

Please do not wrap the gifts as this will be done later.

Items can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

The project is dependent on volunteers in order to staff collection points. If there is no collection point near you and you would like to help create one, please contact Marika Stone by emailing: M.L.Stone@soton.ac.uk,

If you are interested in volunteering with Christmas Complete this year, you can help with sorting and packing between 10 – 16 December 2017 at the premises in Central Baptist Church, Devonshire Road, Polygon, 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏,, SO15 2Y. Please contact Annette at S.C.R.A.T.C.H. by emailing: annette@scratchcharity.co.uk
