Get involved with the Parents’ and Carers’ Staff Network events

The Parents’ and Carers’ Staff Network are pleased to share their upcoming events for 2018/19.

All sessions are free to attend, and all staff parents and carers are welcome to come along.

Parents' and Carers' Event

  • Human Worlds Festival –?Saturday 17 November, 10:3016:30, Avenue Campus, Highfield Road. Visit our children’s book/dvd?swap and play-doh art exhibit, find out more about the network and register for future events – don’t forget to bring along any pre-loved children’s books/dvds?to exchange! Also explore the rest of the festival, where you can experience interactive exhibits including cake and craft, the mouse exchange, what makes us human, time travel machine, and workshops including fine art printing, Mayflower young writers, cultural calligraphy and 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏,’s AstroDome.
  • Dementia-Friendly Session –?Wednesday 21 November, 12:3013:30, Building 37/Room 4049 (Senate Room). This session aims to increase our understanding of dementia and to encourage us to think about what we can do to make a difference to people affected by dementia in our community. As well as being an information session, there will be an opportunity to share experiences and ask questions.
  • First Aid for Infants and Toddlers –?Wednesday 5 December, 12:3013:30, Building 54/Room 10031(10c). This session aims to provide a brief look at recognising and dealing with a sick child, including some common childhood ailments and accidents. You will also have the opportunity to try some hands-on resuscitation!
  • Children’s Mental Health Week –?Tuesday 5 February, 12:3013:30, Building 85/Room 2209. As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, this session will cover ‘Laying Foundations With Children For Good Mental Health’. It will address some key areas to focus on in order to set your children up to manage the changes and challenges of life in a healthy way. It will also touch on what to do if you feel your child is a little stuck in their emotional thinking or really struggling with a particular emotional area.
