Brexit – Impact on EU/EEA staff: information event

As part of our commitment to support our EU/EEA and Swiss staff through Brexit, the University is holding an information event in response to recent queries arising from the EU Settlement Scheme pilot and the settlement implications of Brexit in general.

The event will include a one hour presentation from an immigration lawyer followed by?a Q&A session for staff lasting up to two hours if necessary.?Later in the day, a drop-in session will be hosted by Human Resources to allow a limited number of staff to pose more individual/complex queries on a 1:1 basis with the immigration lawyer.

Timings

Brexit – Impact on EU/EEA staff event

10:00 to 13:00 on Monday 17 December 2018 in Room 3001 (lecture theatre A), Building 46. Please book using?Eventbrite, so we know how many people are coming.

Drop-in session

14:00 to 17:00 on Monday 17 December 2018 in Building 26 (Human Resources). This session is aimed at those EU/EEA and Swiss staff whose circumstances are more complicated and may not be covered in the morning event. As most individuals’ questions will be covered at the Q&A session, if you have a more complicated query please make an appointment at the close of the Q&A session.

Those staff who wish to take part in the Home Office EU Settlement Scheme should register their interest by emailing eusettlementpilot@homeoffice.gov.uk as soon as possible, so that they can?complete their application by 21 December 2018.

Staff who?do not want to participate in the pilot will be able to access the scheme when it is rolled out in March 2019.
