Students with a disability, mental health condition or specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, might be eligible to receive additional arrangements for exams and timed assessments. Arrangements are made according to the individual needs of a student and can include: extra time, use of a word processor, rest breaks and smaller exam rooms.
If you think this might apply to you, you must book a Student Support Appointment with Enabling Services?by Monday 8 April.
To make an appointment, please email: enable@soton.ac.uk or call Tel: +44 (0)23 8059 7726 (Ext: 27726).
If you have already registered with Enabling Services, you don’t need to do so again unless you have changed course.
If you have examinations in May/June 2019, the deadline for contacting Enabling Services with medical evidence or an Educational Psychologist report is Monday 8 April 2019. If you don’t contact Enabling Services with the appropriate medical evidence before this date, we’ll be unable to organise additional examination recommendations for this semester with your Faculty.
Note: for students with a specific learning difficulty (SpLD) such as dyslexia, interim arrangements may be possible where an Educational Psychologist report is not yet available, subject to alternative evidence provided.
