Nominations are open for this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Awards.
To make the nomination process as simple as possible for our staff community, we’ve put together some top tips on how to submit an impactful nomination.
Top tips:
- Although there will never be a ‘perfect fit’ when it comes to selecting an award category, take some time to review the full list and select the one you believe best suits the person(s) you want to nominate. If you’re finding it difficult to make a selection, please contact Geraldine Witt in the Reward & Recognition Team by emailing: Reward@soton.ac.uk
- Be clear in your nomination about how the individual/team has gone above and beyond their daily duties.
- Include data and analytics to back up statements (where possible). If you’re finding it difficult to source this information, you could speak to the individual/team’s line manager(s) – use the University organisational charts to look up individuals and their managers.
- You’ve got 500 words to use so make your points short, sharp and evidenced.
- iSurvey?does not save draft nominations. If you’d like to take time crafting a nomination, we recommend you do so in Microsoft Word or a similar programme, until you’re ready to paste it into iSurvey and submit your nomination.
Head over to the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards website for more details, including full descriptions for each award category.
Nominations close at 17:00 on Friday 31 May 2019.
