As a signatory to the NCCPE's Manifesto for Public Engagement, the University is committed to sharing knowledge, resources and skills with the public, and to listening to and learning from the expertise and insight of the different communities with which we engage.

The Public Engagement with Research unit (PERu) exists to inspire and support high quality public engagement with research across all disciplines at the University of ÍøÂç²ÊƱAPPÏÂÔØ_°Ä¿Í²ÊƱÍø-¹Ù·½ÓÎÏ·,.

Following guiding principles established with?the unit's formalisation?in 2016 we:

• facilitate networks and inform strategy to develop ÍøÂç²ÊƱAPPÏÂÔØ_°Ä¿Í²ÊƱÍø-¹Ù·½ÓÎÏ·, as an engaged University;
• support community engagement hubs across a range of themes;
• design and deliver public engagement training;
• provide advice for research grant applications;
• provide seed-funding for engagement projects;
• broker partnerships between researchers and publics;
• coordinate a spectrum of engagement opportunities for all career stages.
