The origin: Science of the Ocean 2009

The University of 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏, Roadshow was born in 2009 as the "Science of the Ocean" roadshow, a?project developed and led?by?Dr Steve Dorney, currently our PERu Director, in collaboration with The National Oceanography Centre (NOC).

This first?roadshow was a?multidisciplinary effort from different schools across the University around the theme of ocean sciences and included the?following stands:

Spectrum of Science 2010

In 2010 the UoS Roadshow then developed into 'Spectrum of Science' roadshow, an itinerant show?showcasing different type of science, including:

The Roadshow was then co-ordinated by?Steve?and Dr Tony Curran, currently the PERu Lead for Spectrum of Public Engagement.

Bringing Research to Life | 2012 to present

In 2012, the UoS Roadshow took?its final name 'Bringing Research to Life' to include?the full?spectrum of STEAM research spanning across all the?faculties in the University.

The showcased activities included: Singing Bubbles, Hearing Music, 3D Colour Printing, The Life of Satellites, Brain and Rewards, 21st Century Traffic Control, Music and Technology, Carbon Footprinting, Robotics.

Since then,?Bringing Research to Life?Roadshow has reached tens of thousands of people?at?local and national?events across the centre and south of the UK, and it is now a renown and sought stand?in key?regional and national events, including the?South Dawns Green Fair and Glastonbury Festival.

The Bringing Research to Life Roadshow?is currently co-ordinated?by the PERu Operations Lead, Dr Silvia Lanati.
