A key task of the visual system is to estimate the 3D structure of our surroundings. We are interested in how we use and combine different sources of information to estimate shape and depth.
There are several sources of information about the structure of objects. These include shading, texture, binocular disparity (the differences between the left and right eyes’ views) and motion.
