The age of AI jazz is dawning. Huge advances in computing power and machine learning technology mean that algorithms can now improvise in the style of the jazz greats. Has another classic human activity been “taken over” by computers? Or is future jazz going to be a ‘social machine’ where people and machines work together to create great music?
