Celebrating International Women's Week 2015
Every year in March we draw together a range of events to mark International Women's Week, mixing the informative, the reflective, the challenging and the celebratory.
The programme for?2015 already highlights an exceptional range of activities on offer, devised by students and staff alike through various groups and networks. And it's still evolving as individual organisers complete arrangements. You can find talks, seminars, sports activities, serious business and plenty of fun stuff.
Highlights to date?include:
- Free fitness classes at Jubilee Sports Hall (sponsored by Sport and Wellbeing)
- The value of women in leadership roles (Theano)
- Calling the Shots - the role of women in film since 2000 (Film department)
- Conversation café and round-the-room discussion, looking to the next phase of our work on gender equality in the University (Diversity)
