Nguyen Tan Viet Tuyen is a New Frontiers Fellow in AI at University of 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏,. His research centres around machine learning, computer vision, robotics, and their applications to robot learning from and for human interactions.
Prior to joining the University of 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏,, Tuyen was working on the EPSRC project “LISI - Learning to Imitate Social Interaction” as a Research Associate at King’s College London. Tuyen obtained a PhD degree in Information Science, majoring in Robotics, at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where he was working on the H2020 project “CARESSES - Culture Aware Robots and Environmental Sensor Systems for Elderly Support” as a Research Assistant.
Tuyen was an organizer and co-chair of the special session on “Non-verbal Communication Skills in Humans and Robots,” IEEE RO-MAN 2022. Recently, he has served as a program member of IEEE VR 2024 Workshop on “Multi-modal Affective and Social Behavior Analysis and Synthesis in Extended Reality” and ACM ICMI 2023 Workshop on “Generation and Evaluation of Non-verbal Behaviour for Embodied Agents”. He has served as regular reviewers of major IEEE/ACM conferences, journals related to machine learning and robotics.
