Joseph William Barrass Butterick is a Research Fellow in the Department of Social Statistics and Demography at the University of 网络彩票APP下载_澳客彩票网-官方游戏,. At present, Joe is working as part of the modelling team of the ESRC Centre for Population Change on the Connecting Generations project. His primary focus is on developing, implementing, and analysing matrix models of kinship. Joe will apply mathematical, statistical, and simulation-based analyses of model outputs.
Joe completed his PhD at the University of York. While there, he applied mathematical models to explain animal behaviour. In particular, he developed models based on Evolutionary Game Theory to explain anti-predator responses in (animal) groups. Drawing from his background in ecological models, Joe is also interested in the application of matrix models for structured animal populations.
